Event Details

From 10/24/23 through 11/30/23, The Kerr Regional History Center (KRHC) will host the traveling exhibit, Images of Valor: U.S. Latinos and Latinas of World War II. This exhibit provides a historical overview of U.S. Latino participation in World War II and features historical photographs from the Voces Oral History Center archives and contemporary photographs of men and women of the WWII generation by photojournalist Valentino Mauricio.

Continuing on the traveling exhibit’s celebration of our heroic veterans, KRHC will be adding inspiring primary pieces to the standing exhibit, Kerrville 101. KRHC has been privileged to receive moving memorabilia regarding Sidney Baker, one of three local young men who lost their lives in World War 1 and for whom three prominent local streets are named. KRHC is excited to share these articles and to expand the standing exhibit in this meaningful way.
